The flavour of the middle-east, Zahtar is an aromatic blend of herbs and spices that include thyme, sesame seeds and dried sumac. In Arabic cooking, it's traditionally sprinkled on pita that's been brushed with olive oil or on flatbreads before baking. It is used as a seasoning for meats and vegetables and to garnish hummus or labneh.
